References

References to “us”, “we” or “our” are references to  Thermal Chasers Limited. The Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales and you hereby irrevocably submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in England and Wales in respect of any disputes or claims arising out of or in connection with these terms. By applying to these Terms and Conditions, you are complying with all sections of the document which form to make the Contract. Failure to meet the Terms and Conditions on your behalf, could render the contract void, in which case we hold no further responsibility for yourself and will not be issuing a refund.

Pilot Expectations

1. You must be a member of the British Hang Gliding Association (BHPA).
2. Minimum qualification needed is a BHPA Elementary Pilot License.
3. You should be able to provide information of your training e.g. Log book, number of flights and hours flown etc.
4. Any information received will be presumed true, if found to be false, Thermal Chasers Limited takes no liability for that persons health and safety.
5. You realise that it is the Guide Coach instructors decision to cease flying or terminate your participation in Thermal Chasers Limited for whatever reason. Deliberate failure to comply with instructions concerning flying and/or conduct during the course may face expulsion without recompense.

Risk and Insurance

1. You are aware that Paragliding and Hang Gliding is an activity where danger is present.
2. You realise that there will be launch sites over 100ft+  high which brings a considerable amount of risk in itself.
3. It is essential that you take out adequate health insurance.
4. You should take out equipment insurance on all your paragliding gear.
5. You must also take out repatriation insurance and also helicopter rescue insurance.
6. Please note that you must also take out the correct cancellation insurance.
7. You recognise that if any specified insurance policies are not taken out, it is not the liability of Thermal Chasers Limited to recompense the loss.
   

Equipment and Checklist

1. All pilots should be equipped with the essential gear to fly.
2. You should have a glider, harness with parachute, rucksack for them, helmet and boots.
3. Your equipment must have been serviced and checked within the last 12 months.
4. You have a 20kg luggage weight limit, Thermal Chasers Limited will not fund any luggage that exceeds this limit.
5. If you need to borrow any equipment, please contact Green Dragons Airsports for a quote.
   

Travel and Booking

1. Thermal Chasers Limited take responsibility for arranging the destination, the flights, the airport transfers at destination, accommodation, hire cars, tuition and local guides.
2. It is your responsibility to arrange airport transfer to and from your house and the airport.
3. If you are late or fail to make the flight that has been booked, Thermal Chasers Limited cannot recompense any loss and it will be up to you to compensate for the situation you are in.
4. You must have and bring a valid passport, all insurance documents, all equipment stated and adequate clothing for the trip.
5. Once you have booked your place, Thermal Chasers Limited is unable to refund the cost of the course.
6. We try our best to avoid bad weather, hence why the course is very last minute. We, Thermal Chasers Limited, cannot refund the money of the course due to bad weather.
7. You can pay by bank transfer or cash and money should be paid by two weeks before the trip.

Radio Communication

1. You must be aware that a radio is the only method of communication when flying.
2. You must comply to all directions given via the radio.
3. You should keep your radio on at all times when flying, and if radio communication fails, you should land.
4. If you choose to fly without guidance or communication, Thermal Chasers Limited takes no responsibility for your Health and Safety which may result in serious injury or death. If survived you may face expulsion.

Transport

For guiding is available to and from Thermal Chasers declare HQ. Any other miles will be additional cost to daily guided pilots.

Alcohol and Drugs

1. You must make sure that when you are about to fly, that you have not been under the influence of drugs for at least 12 hours.
2. If you are presumed to be under the influence of alcohol or any other drug, the instructor has the right to stop you from flying and you may potentially face expulsion.

Photography and Video

1. You may be photographed and videoed on the trip. The footage or images are copyright Thermal Chasers Limited property.
2. The material captured on the trip will be used for training purposes and promotion
3. The material will most likely be used and promoted on social network sites and the company website. Please let us know if you do not wish to be included in social media promotion.
